Germany's Recovery

How did Germany recover from WW2 so fast? Germany was losing millions throughout the whole war and was in rags by the end of the war. They had focused most of their factories and plants on tanks, planes, guns, ammo, and food. You think they would have suffered longer afterwards, but the economy only suffered about a year. Why is this?
Well, Germany was given the opportunity to start over fresh and had plenty of economic freedom. Economic freedom is the key to prosperity, so Germany's production levels skyrocketed, and they had gone to at least 20% original production within a year. Meanwhile, America was still suffering from inflation and economic shackles. Some people think that Germany recovered fast because of the America troops stationed there, but in reality, the recovery only started once they left.
