How English Art was Influenced by the Renaissance

The Renaissance was a huge motivator for English art, here's how. The Renaissance not only was the original foundation for modern English literature, what with all the new inventions and new types of art, but also influenced English literature by introducing humanism, classical themes, and a lot of interest toward ancient Greek and Roman poems and pieces of literature.

The art during the Renaissance was mainly exaggerated shapes and shading on many different types of painting, which, if you look at English art, is very close to the same, the only differences being the newer-looking equipment in some of the English paintings. Many English artists were inspired by the paintings during Renaissance times, and the most famous piece of art to ever exist, the Mona Lisa, was also made during this time.

Then we have modern artists, who could take a couple hints from these painters. Maybe America would be thought of as a more cultured country if we made actual paintings instead of sticking a banana to a wall and selling it for 3 million (and I'm not joking; someone really did that).
