Hello everyone, today's essay will be about politics. Just kidding, today's essay is about the importance of telescopes, as the large title for my blog indicates. So, who invented the telescope? Well, the first telescope was invented in 1609 by Galileo Galilei, a very well known person to this day. This new invention helped greatly with our capabilities to see into space, allowing us to see much further zoomed in on planets, stars, and constellations.

So, in what ways was the telescope improved over the years? Well, here are a couple ways that telescopes became better: the glass was improved, technology was introduced, the telescopes became larger and longer, and light filters were introduced. Scientists also discovered that the earth's atmosphere and clouds block some of the vision, so people launched telescopes into space to send the results back to earth, with much better results. The Hubble telescope is one of these telescopes. It was launched in 1990, and is still sending much-needed information about the galaxy back to earth, sending pictures from up to 10-15 billion light years away. As a conclusion to this essay, Galileo had an enormous impact on the world and especially NASA.
