The Eclipse

Hey everyone, This week's essay is about the causes of eclipses and some other details. So, how long does it take for a total solar eclipse to occur? Well, that depends on you location on earth. In some places, it will take up to 375 years. However, there are some places where they can be viewed with only about a decade in-between. So there's a bit of a time gap.

During total solar eclipses, the sky will completely darken as if it were nighttime. But what is the cause of this? Well, the reason total solar eclipses are so rare is that in order for them to occur the moon has to block out the sun. The moon rotations mean that the slightest shift will mean that the eclipse isn't a total solar eclipse. This is the reason that total solar eclipses are so rare.

Solar eclipses are extremely interesting because of the requirements for them to occur and the result of them happening.
