WWI Caused WWII

WWI laid the groundwork for WWII, and it was mostly the Allies' fault. During WWI, the main reason for the fight was a land grab, but the official reason was the assassination of Austria-Hungary's archduke, Francis Ferdinand, which was carried out by the Serbian intelligence group, the Black Hand. The allied nations had signed a treaty to protect Serbia, so when the Axis Nations attacked Serbia, they had no choice but to join the war. After the war, Germany was blamed for everything in the war and told they had to pay for the whole war. This would cost Trillions of dollars, which would cost 80 years for the country to get.
The Germans hated this idea, so they naturally wanted to show the allies that they weren't giving in to this. Hitler gave them all an idea they liked, having their own country, getting revenge on the enemy, and punishing the Jews, who they thought might have betrayed them during the First World War. All of these things added up to Hitler's rise to power.
